On Friday and Saturday Sept 18 & 19 I will be in New Jersey with approximately 75 men where I will teach on the topic of leadership. They want to go to break out of their "paradigm" and go to new levels of potential. I am excited about these sessions.
On Tuesday September 23 I will be speaking to a group of about 25 pastors and church leaders on the same topic. These are leaders from various churches (Charismatic, Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, and many others.) I am expecting God to make great inroads of influence for our much needed ministry.

The Price of Being 10 Years Ahead
A wise leader will be ahead of today . . . far ahead of the current status of his or her organization and peers. But being out front comes with a price tag attached. There is a lonliness and isolation that comes when one is not holding back to the pace set by friends and associates.
A truly gifted leader will not have peers that relate to them . . . instead they will be questioned or challenged by their peers. Think on this . . . countless Bible characters such as Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon, Esther, Elijah, Elisha, Nehemiah, John Baptist, and Jesus had no peers. Who could relate to them? Nobody could.
Yet the greatest of acheivers are those who stand alone even in a crowd of other "leaders". When one surpasses his peers it is quite often the peers who will be the very ones to resist or discredit you.
Around the year 2000 I believed I was about 15 years ahead of the church organization with which I am licensed, and looking back I think that was a very accurate estimation. I still believe I am about that far ahead. The price I have paid for being ahead is astronomical, and often at the hands of well meaning "protectors of tradition". Being misunderstood, mis-labeled, or discredited is not a pleasant experience. It is also an expensive experience.
However it is with joy that I look to the future, no longer willing to allow the anchors of broken organizational tradition, institution, and bureaucracy to thwart what I know to be the plan and will of God for my life and ministry.
The virtual void of true leadership in institutional religious organizations demands that someone step up to the plate and allow God to use them. I want to be among those who answer that call.
If you have a desire to be a leader in the 21st Century Church you desire a good thing. However, there is no organized church denomination that offers the developmental process to accomplish that goal.
I want to help you attain that goal. Be looking for good things to come from Gracepoint in the future. In the meantime . . . pay attention to this blog. You may also visit the Fast Forward lessons on this site and enjoy a tremendous opportunity to glean from the vast amount of leadership material we have made available to you.

Coming Soon to a Location Near You!
We are in the process of re-inventing the Iron2Iron format and services. We actually have pastors who are inquiring about when and where we will hold our future events.
Keep posted and stay tuned in to this blog site for announcements.
Just remember . . . the challenge of the 21st Century church is not growth or "revival" . . . the challenge is to develop the leaders who are capable of facilitating the magnitude of revival that God is willing to send now! Most pastors actually limit the growth of their churches due to a lack of applicable leadership and organizational skills. This need not be so! The time to enhance your skills is now because as far as church potential goes . . .
It is already happening!
I admonish you to develop your skills as a leader as well as a participating member of a leadership team. Please take full advantage of the Fast Forward (audio and written) materials available only through http://www.gracepoint.ws/
Until Iron2Iron is re-birthed . . . if you have any questions on the topic of Biblical leadership please email me at pastor@gracepoint.ws
Bless you!
Dr. Fred Childs

Iron2iron is Changing Formats!
Iron2iron will no longer be a monthly meeting format. Instead we will be revising this site to become an interactive leadership mentoring and training site. We will teach weekly topics and allow for selected questions and answers.
There is nothing more vital than training and equipping leaders for the Kingdom of God. The challenge of todays church is not revival . . . but to develop leaders who are capable of facilitating the magnitude of revival that God is already sending to those who believe.
Pray for the iron2iron ministry. Be watching and stay tuned!
